What You'll Do
- Manage tax strategy and advisory tasks throughout the EMEA region, evaluating the tax ramifications of corporate structuring and operational growth projects.
- Collaborate with global and regional collaborators to assess and complete complex business transactions, including acquisitions, reorganisations, and joint ventures.
- Provide technical expertise across a broad range of tax areas, with a bias toward international tax, transfer pricing, and legal structuring.
- Monitor and assess evolving tax legislation, OECD mentorship, and regional tax trends to proactively manage risk and appropriately advise the business.
- Collaborate with international tax team members to support the creation of comprehensive, lawful transfer pricing strategies and policies for EMEA that align with worldwide operations.
- Serve as a reliable consultant to senior finance, legal, and business executives within the EMEA region and worldwide.
- Assist the Senior Director of Global Tax in advancing a unified global tax strategy and in accomplishing vital corporate projects.
- Manage relationships with external advisors, ensuring high-quality and efficient tax consulting and compliance support.
- Collaborate with internal tax operations teams to ensure alignment between advisory initiatives and ongoing compliance obligations.
What We're Looking For
- Over 10 years of applicable background in international taxation, gained from roles within a multinational organization or a top-tier accounting or legal firm.
- Strong academic background with qualifications in Accounting, Tax, or Law; advanced degrees or professional certifications (CPA, CTA, ADIT) are preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in international tax strategy, consultation, and organization within the technology, software, or SaaS industries.
- Deep understanding of global transfer pricing principles, Tax Treaty interpretation and application, OECD guidelines, and EMEA-specific tax rules.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex cross-border tax issues in a fast-paced, matrixed global organisation.
- Strong communication and collaborator engagement skills, with the ability to persuade senior leadership and foster solid cross-functional relationships.
- Strategic problem solver with hands-on problem-solving capability.
- Collaborative approach and a track record of effective cross-border teamwork.
- Proficient project management abilities, enabling prioritization and successful delivery on initiatives.
- Competence in navigating tax matters effectively.
