The Lead Support Worker will provide one-to-one support to women, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals in a holistic and empowering way, grounded in feminist beliefs and values.
This role involves creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment where women feel supported to explore their strengths, aspirations, and potential.
Supervising paid and volunteer mentors and working collaboratively with the Women’s Workshop team and trusted partners, the Support Worker will mentor women to build confidence, develop practical and life skills, and access essential services and opportunities.
The role also addresses multiple forms of discrimination and exclusion that many women face, ensuring that support is tailored to their unique challenges.
Through tailored guidance, advocacy, and encouragement, the Support Worker will foster resilience and independence while promoting the principles of inclusion and empowerment that underpin the Women\’s Workshop’s mission.
The post is for 20 hours a week, pro rata of £30,559 (actual £16,977).
