  • Project scheduling, change control, and action tracking.
  • Lead submission of grant reports, claims, and change requests to the Department for Transport.
  • Track project costs and coordinate with project controls support.
  • Coordinate internal and FEED‑led document management (with Document Controller support).
  • Maintain the project execution plan, register key risks, and drive mitigation actions.
  • Monitor progress against project milestones and deliverables.
  • Support interfaces across engineering, consenting, EHS/COMAH, and procurement.
  • Assist with Board‑level reporting and investor updates.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.

  • APM, PMP or PRINCE2 qualification.
  • Experience in decarbonisation, hydrogen, electrolysis, or fuels.
  • Familiarity with planning, permitting, and EIA processes in the UK.

Personal Qualities

  • Be confident in leading and motivating a team of skilled individuals to deliver on project outcomes.
  • Comfortable working within a scale‑up environment.
  • A customer‑centric commercial mindset with the ability to confidently communicate with multiple stakeholders including our supply chain.

About Carbon Neutral Fuels

We believe in connecting the world through sustainable flight. At Carbon Neutral Fuels, a growing organisation established in 2022 and part-funded by the UK Government, we see a future where clean aviation is the norm, not the exception.

Our flagship e‑fuels production facility, ASAP‑DAC, was awarded Department of Transport funding to complete Feasibility and Pre‑FEED stage studies. Having successfully completed these, and with the site and technology vendors selected, we are gearing up to begin FEED in Summer 2025. This facility will produce sustainable aviation fuel for the domestic market.

To enable this, we are growing our engineering team. We are building an inclusive, engaging team of makers that enjoy solving complex problems, who are aligned in our vision of creating a better future for tomorrow.

Recruitment timeline

We would like to have someone in the position as soon as possible, however, we are happy to consider a delayed start date for the right candidate.
