This role combines management and individual contributor responsibilities. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge technology as part of an internationally established team. They will demonstrate collaboration, drive, and exceptional communication skills. We seek someone eager for new challenges and ready to contribute to our legacy of creating world-class games.This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar\’s state-of-the-art game development studio in Edinburgh, Scotland.WHAT WE DO The Core Security team is a global group of programmers specializing in designing, implementing, and delivering advanced anti-cheat and anti-piracy technologies.The Core Security team collaborates with the broader development team to optimize game performance and ensure efficient use of system resources.RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and influence a team of software engineers to build, scale, and maintain innovative products using C++.Define team objectives and key results, create actionable plans to achieve them, and communicate progress through roadmaps to technical stakeholders.Conduct regular 1:1 performance reviews to assess progress, give feedback, and realign priorities as needed.Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of systems within the broader architecture.Apply the latest technical knowledge to solve complex problems and drive team impact.QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of professional engineering experience, including 2+ years in a management role.Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and drive collaboration at all levels.Demonstrated ownership, proactivity, and drive to achieve objectives while leading a team to success.SKILLS Leadership in technical environments and hands-on managerial experience.Expertise in C++ development, with a focus on writing highly performant, clean, and efficient code.Experience working with shared codebases and source control platforms.Familiarity with Agile software development processes.HOW TO APPLY Please apply with a resume and cover letter demonstrating how you meet the skills above.
