UK Atomic Energy Authority is seeking an Engineering Analysis Group Lead to join their team in Culham, Oxfordshire. Employees work in a hybrid mode with full-time hours.
The salary for this role is £71,815 (inclusive of a Specialist Allowance). Onsite working is expected for 3 days each week, however, flexible working requests are actively supported.
The role involves leading the Engineering Analysis Group, providing specialist staff and technical expertise to support complex substantiation and qualification work across UKAEA projects and programmes. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a Technical Reference for all divisions in areas of knowledge, particularly in the use and/or development of computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools.
- Defining and ensuring implementation of processes and standards for design, analysis, and qualification work on major fusion sub-systems.
- Managing analysis and qualification activities for projects or work packages.
- Driving capability development of engineering analysis staff through coaching and training.
- Establishing strategic relationships with clients across divisions.
Qualifications:
- Essential: A relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience; Chartered Engineer Status or NAFEMS PSE Certification at Advanced level; experience in direct line management and development of engineers.
- Desirable: Experience in quality management of engineering analysis work; experience delivering analytical work for fusion-related projects.
