We are recruiting for the London office a full-time Garment Technologist (m/f/x)
Your Mission With Us
At Women’s Best, we combine premium aesthetics with uncompromising performance. We are looking for a technically expert and commercially-driven Garment Technologist to join our sportswear team. In this role, you will be the guardian of quality and fit throughout the entire product lifecycle. From the initial concept to final production, you will ensure every piece meets our high standards for innovation, durability, and technical excellence. You aren’t just checking samples; you are ensuring our community receives world-class activewear that performs as well as it looks.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Execution: Lead the end-to-end product development, sealing, and fit process, translating creative design visions into technically superior, market-ready garments.
- Fit & Consistency: Drive fit sessions with precision, providing detailed technical feedback to ensure impeccable sizing and construction across all sportswear categories.
- Sample Management: Rigorously evaluate factory prototypes, size sets, and sealer samples for compliance with technical specifications while maintaining strict adherence to the critical path.
- Performance Validation: Risk-assess products through wearer trials and intensive testing to ensure fabrics and constructions are truly \”fit for purpose\” in high-performance environments.
- Production Specs: Create and manage accurate graded production specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Approve technical test reports in line with global legislation and proactively resolve any quality or return-related issues.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Partner closely with offshore production and technical teams to optimize manufacturing capabilities and refine global supply chain processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Expertise: 4+ years of experience as a Garment Technologist, with a proven track record in multi-product fitting.
- Sportswear Specialist: Deep technical knowledge of performance-wear construction, fabric testing, and high-stretch garment engineering.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of international product testing and legal compliance standards.
- Precision & Pace: Highly organized with the ability to manage tight deadlines without compromising on quality or attention to detail.
- Effective Communicator: A confident, objective communicator who can bridge the gap between design, production, and external vendors.
- Ownership: A proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic and a \”hands-on\” approach to product excellence.
