WAEML provides information, support and accommodation to women, children and young people who have been subjected to domestic abuse. If you are passionate about upholding the rights of women, children and young people, this may be the job for you.

This post attracts a salary up to £28,740 per annum (Salary scale: £26,730- £28,740 per annum). We have a vacancy for an experienced practitioner to join our women's support team. We are looking for a dynamic and committed feminist with a minimum of 1 year work experience in a similar field who will work using a multi-agency and trauma informed approach.

This role will be focused on providing 1:1 and group work support to women who have been subjected to domestic abuse. This post is available initially on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2028; continuation of role will be made based upon continued funding. Travel across East Lothian and Midlothian is required therefore a full current driving licence and constant access to a car is essential. Candidates must have a Membership of the PVG scheme, this is an essential requirement.
