The award winning One Spa has an exciting opportunity for a Spa Therapist, 8 hours per week, working one weekend day. Regarded as Europe’s most advanced city spa, One Spa, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh, is a natural balance of energy, water and heat in a beautiful, light‑filled space. The philosophy at One Spa is all‑encompassing; down to the smallest details the Spa is designed to comfort, pamper and relax.
Qualifications
- Qualified with an HND in Beauty Therapy or similar (minimum NVQ Level 3/SVQ Level 7 in Beauty Therapy).
- Some work experience in a spa or therapeutic setting is desirable.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience in a therapist role within a luxury five‑star environment is a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with health and safety legislation and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide a range of treatments, including massage, facials, hot‑stone, body and prenatal treatments.
- Maintain equipment, products, cleanliness and hygiene of treatment areas.
- Assist with demonstrations and events as required.
- Manage daily retail sales, treatments and upselling.
- Supervise safety of users and equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
