We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The role focuses on proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security threats and alerts across cloud-native environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of cloud security principles, hands-on experience with cloud security monitoring tools, and a strong understanding of security threats to cloud environments.

Location: Dublin – Central Park office in Leopardstown with modern facilities, onsite gym, and staff restaurant. Travel options include the LUAS network and a Central Park shuttle. Chester – Office located in the city of Chester, offering a global career within a world-renowned organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide AWS and Azure cloud event monitoring, dispositioning of cases, and escalation to designated control partners.
  • Update documentation as new changes occur in the environment or tooling.
  • Tune existing alerts to eliminate false positives.
  • Understand and articulate current threats against cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Monitor for suspicious AI utilization and jailbreak attempts.
  • Utilize Splunk and Log Analytics for viewing cloud logs related to AWS and Azure environments.
  • Triage and report critical cloud vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain awareness of information security operations and enterprise IT (data management, application development, network management).

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Cyber Security, Incident Response, or a related field.
  • Experience using Splunk in security investigations.
  • Knowledge of Azure Security Center, AWS Cloud Security Hub, or Google Cloud Security.
  • Experience with incident response teams, vulnerability managers, threat intelligence researchers, and Red/Purple teams.
  • Broad understanding of information security principles and capabilities.
  • Knowledge of configuration management, orchestration, and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, or Packer.
  • Familiarity with common Information Security and data protection frameworks and standards (CIS, NIST, MITRE, ITIL, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or related experience.
  • Leadership competency in a geographically diverse matrixed environment.

  • Cloud-specific security certifications (AZ-500, SC-200, AZ-204, CKA, CKS, RHCE, etc.)
  • Vendor-specific or relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, SANS/GIAC.
  • Experience working in a SOC environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
