Join us as a Business Development Manager. We’ll look to you to drive business development activities to build partnerships for new opportunities, supporting with the design, development, and implementation of business development strategies and plans that support our overall growth strategy.
You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, business partners, and other related organisations to seek new opportunities. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and network.
What you’ll doAs a Business Development Manager, you’ll monitor and analyse the marketplace, participate in sales strategies and policies, and generate and facilitate the total solution of our business development and continuous growth. In doing so, you’ll meet customer needs and assist the business in achieving our lending commitment while ensuring business goals are met in a manner consistent with our values. You’ll effectively handle concerns and complaints at first point of contact, ensuring the delivery of good customer outcomes at every interaction, and you’ll formulate and drive a business plan to achieve all KPI’s.
You’ll also:
- Understand and adhere to the relevant laws, conflicts of interest, and the anti-money laundering guidelines.
- Complete all control tasks in a timely manner to the required standard.
- Operate within the training and competence scheme, ensuring the provision of accurate, full, and relevant information to customers.
- Respond and adapt to shifting priorities and deliver an effective performance within challenging timelines.
- Liaise with colleagues to share best practice and to flex capacity between teams as required.
- Build a strong internal and external network of stakeholders and proactively promote a culture where risk is managed effectively within the business.
We’re looking for someone with an understanding of audit and risk requirements, both internally and externally, and experience of meeting and exceeding customer needs. You’ll hold, or be willing to work towards a relevant professional qualification. It's mandatory to hold the Diploma in Lending Skills Professional Qualification, or equivalent. If not held there will be a requirement to study for and complete the qualification within 18 months of enrolment.
You’ll also demonstrate:
- Experience of delivering presentations to customers.
- Effective relationship management, diary management, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of technology platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and the ability to network effectively.
