We are looking for Senior Security Architects to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We are currently expanding our security architect capability across a number of delivery teams, to help embed a secure-by-design and secure-by-default culture. As a Senior Security Architect you will blend technical security knowledge, architecture design, and development skills. We are using fresh ideas and leading-edge tech to build and maintain digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, every day and at key moments in their lives.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Leading architecture design of data-oriented business critical IT projects/services in a large, complex UK central government or private sector organisation.
- Analytics & Reporting: Data warehousing, Data Lakes, business intelligence (BI) and analytics technologies, design patterns, tools and best practice.
- Presenting technical content to large technical and non-technical audiences.
- Public cloud technologies, cloud hosting, container, and networking design patterns, tools and best practice (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Database Design & Management.
- Data Architecture Design: Data Modelling, Master Data Management (MDM), Metadata Management, Data Governance.
We have two roles based in our Digital Health and Disability team. Health and Disability delivery teams manage a large portfolio of IT services, including the Functional Assessment Service (FAS), which provide support to some of DWP's most vulnerable customers. We are currently delivering a large digital transformation providing modern, secure, cloud-based services to our customers. The other role is based in Digital's Data Insight and Analytics function. This team is responsible for the development of reusable technical capability in the form of advanced analytics and MI platforms. This capability underpins the development and deployment of analytics driven controls such as those supporting payment accuracy, and ambitions to reduce fraud, error and debt, as well as the strategic capability for MI reporting and visualisations across DWP.

- Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.
- Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
- Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £70,000.
- Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £16,000 per year.
- Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days a year and rising to 31 days over time. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
