Our vision is a world where all businesses are powered by embedded payments. Modulr enables businesses, from SMEs to Enterprise, initially across the UK and Europe to efficiently pay‑in, collect and disburse funds instantly via a range of payment schemes, accounts, and card products.
What You’ll Do
- The Product team is a core part of Modulr and works cross‑functionally with all teams across the business and this role is going to be part of product team responsible for our expansion to the US.
- Be an intrinsic member of assigned agile squads, representing product and driving the timely execution of your roadmap whilst managing product incidents, support requests and engineering initiatives.
- Work with both internal and external stakeholders to elicit comprehensive business requirements and execute technical designs and specifications that address these requirements.
- Define high‑quality epic and user story definitions with clear acceptance criteria.
- Ensure scalable ways of working with our engineering function to prioritise requirements and deliver at pace each sprint.
- Ensure end‑to‑end delivery of products, working cross‑functionally to understand and manage all implications on teams across the business ahead of go‑live.
- Ensure internal documentation and functional product collateral is created and maintained.
- Develop an understanding of the value proposition of the products you manage, their positioning in each of our target markets and how they solve our customers’ problems.
- Effectively use data to inform prioritisation and drive decision‑making.
- Develop a clear understanding of the costs of your products and input into pricing strategies.
- Actively manage key supplier relationships for your products.
- Establish the performance and scalability of your products against KPIs, including ensuring issues are triaged and resolved in a timely manner and responding to changes in market and client demands.
- Work closely with the wider product and marketing team to ensure we successfully package products to solve problems for our customers.
Who You Are
What you’ll need:
- Deep expertise in business analysis and/or technical product development.
- Experience building payments products is a key requirement, with a preference for direct experience with payment schemes/gateways.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, with commercial acumen to harness data‑driven insights to inform prioritisation and decision‑making.
- Experience driving forward cross‑functional change, pro‑actively taking initiative.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with external stakeholders.
- A strong work ethic, entrepreneurial mindset, and willingness to roll‑up sleeves, focusing on solutions and outcomes rather than problems and process.
