We are seeking a First Team Sports Therapist / Physiotherapist for our Women's team, to assist in the provision of medical support services, delivering high-quality rehabilitation across the injury pathway, from initial presentation through to return to play, with a strong emphasis on pitch based, football specific conditioning and reintegration, supporting elite female footballers within a performance environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Work in conjunction with the Physiotherapy & Medical Team for the programming and delivery for acute / mid / end stages of rehabilitation to all First Team Injured players.
  • Collaboratively assist the Physiotherapy & Medical Team in the assessment and screening of injury diagnosis of 1st Team Players.
  • Effectively assist in the screening and testing protocols that objectively assess players physical capabilities within a criteria-based rehabilitation.
  • To chaperone players to off-site locations as and when required. This may include, but not limited to specialist appointments, surgical procedures, alternative therapies, physical testing locations etc.
  • Take part in CPD and attend in-house CPD training.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders regarding player availability and progress.
  • Maintain contemporaneous medical notes to an excellent standard on the WPS (Women’s Performance System).
  • Ensure high levels of professionalism and patient confidentiality.
  • Any other duties that are reasonable and consistent with the nature of the job.

What we are looking for:

  • BSc Degree Physiotherapy / Sports Therapy / Sports Rehabilitation
  • Registration with appropriate governing body (CSP / HCPC / STT, BASRat)
  • FA Level 5 Emergency First Aid in Football (ATMMiF)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to work unsociable hours, including weekends
  • Exposure to multidisciplinary team working
  • Experience in WSL / WSL2 working in Elite Sport (desirable)
