Do you have a passion for numbers? Have you always been interested in how we come up with our prices? A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Household Pricing department as a Pricing Process & Outcomes Analyst.
Job Purpose
Pricing Process & Outcomes Analysts support the Household Pricing department by dealing with a large proportion of the queries that we receive from other departments relating to our household pricing structure. A thorough understanding of various Household Pricing issues is required to be able to contribute to a range of Household Pricing discussions. This role will be a 6 months secondment initially, however there is the possibility that it will be made a permanent position at the end of the 6 months.
Main Duties
- Building up knowledge of our quote and policy systems.
- Dealing with queries, understanding and ability to enter and accept quotes, create transactions, and renew policies in our quote and policy systems.
- Developing a thorough understanding of our rate structure including an understanding of all rate tables.
- Handling pricing queries from other departments; mainly Sales, Customer Loyalty and Customer Assurance.
- Dealing with letters and comment forms from clients who refer to / seek clarification of our rating structure.
- Using the call listening facility and listening to calls monthly, and highlighting issues accordingly.
- Regularly deliver port of calls and top up training to contact centre staff to improve their knowledge and understanding.
- Maintain Household Pricing Merlyn page to enable contact centre staff to resolve more queries without needing to refer to Pricing.
- Identify ways to reduce volume of pricing queries received, whether by increasing training, recommending system enhancements or otherwise.
- Assist training new starters in Household Pricing to deal with pricing queries.
- Carrying out ad-hoc analysis and investigations into various issues that may be affecting the Pricing process.
- Carrying out ad-hoc analysis and investigations into various issues relating to governance and risk events.
- To complete any further work as delegated from Household Pricing Heads / Household Pricing Process & Outcomes Operations Manager.

- Demonstrable ability to combine analytical thinking based on numbers, together with common sense and imagination.
- Have an interest of using programming tools such as SQL is desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable using Excel functions.
