Customer Data Platforms is a collection of data platform teams that facilitate fundamental customer interactions and journeys, enabling Aviva to deliver on its customer-centric strategy and appropriate and fair customer decisions. This role resides in the Customer Data team, which is at the core of Aviva’s digital strategy and provides a single source of customer data across our Customer and Marketing, GI and IWR propositions. We’re constantly striving to explore innovative ways to engage with new and existing customers on a portfolio of products that reach out to 17 million customers.
This successful candidate will work with projects and business teams, alongside our platform designers and scrum teams to ensure the smooth delivery of desired outcomes. We are constantly modernising our complex data estate and play an important part in all Aviva teams achieving strategic targets, whilst supporting business self-service where possible. We welcome those with specific suitable skills – or with a healthy appetite to learn and develop these skills with us.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- The ideal candidates will be a self-starter who is able to operate independently and has experience across a range of roles in IT and working in an Agile delivery team.
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance on engineering principles to team members to inspire, remain calm, articulate risks and controls to a wide audience, and demonstrate clear and logical thinking when dealing with high pressure, high impact situations.
- The ability to communicate to all stakeholders in simple terms, the requirements, challenges, and solutions.
- Natural curiosity for problem solving to ensure our Platform is performant, robust, cost effective, easy to change, and that our customer data is always secure.
- Experience with the following tech is desirable but the eagerness to learn and get stuck in is essential: Reltio, Redshift, Springboot, Postgres, Java, SQL, Python, AWS.
What you’ll get for this role:
- Salary circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity 10% of annual salary - Actual amount depends on your performance.
