Overview: Do you want to work in an environment where dashboards, KPIs and data storytelling not only inform decisions, but directly improve outcomes for people at the moments they need support most? This campaign covers four vacancies across three areas within DWP's Digital and Transformation Group: Communication, Collaboration and Network Services; the GOV.UK and Signposting team; and the Performance Analytics Hub.
Responsibilities: You'll work alongside product managers, designers, engineers and researchers to ensure services are built with clear success measures, meaningful KPIs and a strong understanding of user behaviour from the outset. Your role goes beyond reporting – you’ll help teams define what they are trying to achieve, understand how users move through complex journeys, and use insight to influence what happens next. Your work will improve outcomes for citizens and strengthen digital services across all of DWP. You’ll design and maintain performance measurement frameworks, implement and optimise tagging strategies, and help teams use data to identify areas for improvement. You’ll use Google Analytics data and write SQL in Google BigQuery to combine data sources, create meaningful analysis, and support reliable dashboards with tools such as Looker Studio and Power BI.

- Performance Measurement: Demonstrated experience in shaping approaches to measuring performance, defining meaningful KPIs, setting up frameworks, and translating business goals into measurable outcomes.
- Communicating Analysis and Insight: Ability to present analysis in a clear, impactful way tailored to different audiences, using visuals, presentations or written outputs to inform decisions.
- Working Together: Proven collaboration with stakeholders, sharing knowledge across teams, and fostering an inclusive team environment.
- User‑Centred Analysis: Use of quantitative and qualitative data to understand user needs, deliver user‑focused insights, and work with researchers to deepen that understanding.
Role Details: Performance Analysts shape how digital services are designed, measured and improved. They work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure measurement is built into services from the start and help teams understand whether what they deliver is making a difference for users. You will help our teams move beyond surface‑level metrics by exploring user journeys, identifying friction points and interpreting what the data really tells us about outcomes. You will spend time explaining insights for different audiences and enabling evidence‑based decision making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating, is curious about end‑to‑end service performance, and cares about using data to make a real difference.
