About this opportunity

At Lloyds Banking Group, we’re moving to the next stages of our digital transformation, and it’s our job within the Chief Security Office (CSO) to ensure that we keep our customers, colleagues and assets safe. The Insider Risk Management team, within the Chief Security Office, are a collaborative mix between insider analysts, who investigate cases, and engineers, who build and improve behavioural detection capabilities. Together, our team deliver the Group's Insider Strategy, coordinating input from the Group’s safeguarding community, ensuring we make data led decisions and lead on industry discussions. As part of this, we’re inviting software engineers to join us and grow our team’s capabilities, even if you’re from non-security backgrounds.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop user‑facing tools to make our insider analysts user experience better when managing workflows, case history and triaging data which could indicate insider activity.
  • Design and build insider tools to help detect potential events.
  • Explore and evaluate other vendor solutions to improve our overall insider tool set.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, using automation and analytics to improve the efficiency of our insider risk management program using agile methodology and customer focused tools and techniques.
  • Share your CD/CI skills with your peers – this team is a great entry point into the security field.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs into dynamic and data driven front ends with ReactJS and NextJS.
  • People who aren’t scared by data analysis. We’re after your techniques to model use cases and detect anomalies or outliers using Data Flow and Big Query in GCP, AWS or Azure.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure, with scope to use container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Someone who plays with coding challenges to demonstrate logical reasoning and continuous learning.

Additional skills (nice to have)

  • Ethical and responsible approach to AI and machine learning to leverage dynamic detection of anomalous behaviour amongst large data sets.
  • GIT source code management and running concurrent change on a large code base.
  • Experience in infrastructure as code.
  • Experience in complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines.
