Working in our Enterprise IT function you’ll be supporting our business to deliver their priorities and objectives. You’ll be contributing to Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Enterprise Product Owner in the Mobiles & Specialist Devices team, the Platform Specialist will provide technical leadership, and ensure our solutions align with long term architectural principles and business objectives. You’ll join us on a salary starting from £50,000 per annum (depending on experience), with the potential for an annual bonus. This is a hybrid working role, that balances time at home and on site to support collaboration and delivery. There will therefore be occasional travel to our offices within the UK. Who You Are
- To be successful in this role you’ll have strong expertise in the support and configuration of iOS, Android and MacOS platforms in an enterprise environment.
- You’ll have excellent knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Intune to manage, secure and configure end user devices as well as vendor tools such as Apple Business Manager.
- An enthusiasm for new technology and how it can enhance the workplace for end users.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and operational best practices.
- Experience working in agile sprints using JIRA to develop and improve all supported platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience handling high severity incidents.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex issues to non-technical audiences.
- Experience of providing technical leadership.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Digital Workplace team and business colleagues to create a great place to work.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Clearance (SC), which will ordinarily require you to have British residency for the last five years.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll form part of the technical authority for our Enterprise services - spanning iOS, Android, iPadOS, MacOS among others.
- You’ll guide technical decision making, shape device management standards, and provide leadership to help platform teams deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions for our mobile and specialist device platforms using Microsoft Intune.
- You’ll collaborate closely with product teams, solution architects, security, and operational teams to ensure our platforms remain stable, performant, and future ready.
- You’ll raise and monitor technical risks and support mitigation planning with Enterprise product managers and owners.
- You’ll ensure high availability and performance of critical systems through proactive capacity planning and robust operational practices.
- You’ll oversee the lifecycle of our mobile and specialist devices: provisioning, configuration and monitoring, and will proactively seek optimisation and automation opportunities.
- You’ll engage with business units to understand their service priorities.
- You’ll work closely with our partner organisations to ensure services are consistently maintained.
