You\’ll be at the forefront of shaping and leading Data and AI governance within the Data & Analytics directorate. Your role will involve developing and implementing governance frameworks that align with legal, regulatory, ethical, and internal standards, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering the adoption of ethical AI practises across the organisation. Collaborating closely with various teams, including Data Science, Technical, Architecture, InfoSec, and business stakeholders, you will drive a culture of responsible and ethical AI use, while also monitoring the regulatory landscape to introduce necessary changes and protocols for addressing AI-related ethical breaches. Your expertise in data and AI ethics, risk management, compliance frameworks, and stakeholder management will be crucial in driving the organisation towards a future where innovation is balanced with responsibility and ethics in AI adoption. What you\’ll do: Developing and implementing an AI governance framework aligned with company principles and regulatory requirements Establishing clear ethical guidelines for AI use Creating diverse AI governance process/committees. Providing education on responsible AI use. Monitor and understand regulatory landscape together with our Legal, Privacy, and Risk teams, and introduce changes to AI Governance artifacts as needed. Developing protocols for addressing AI-related ethical breaches. Leading risk management efforts to identify and mitigate AI-related risks. Collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance with program, regulatory, and industry standards related to responsible AI. Assess and mitigate AI-related risks, ensuring transparency, fairness, explainability, privacy, and accountability. Creating a ‘risk’ /usage AI dashboard Establish the AI Governance capability (services, resources, capabilities) Who you are: You\’re a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of data ethics, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Your expertise in implementing AI governance policies, standards, and strategies, coupled with strong stakeholder management skills, enables you to drive the development and implementation of governance frameworks that align with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. With a proactive and problem-solving mindset, you are committed to fostering a culture of responsible and ethical AI use within the organisation, ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability in all AI-related initiatives. How we work We work flexibly at Sainsburys. This is a full-time role (37 hours/week), but for the right candidate, we are happy to flex the time commitment.
