We are one of the world’s largest asset managers and provide powerful asset origination capabilities.

Job Description: We’re looking for a Manager of Business Intelligence and Market Insights to join our Strategy, Product and Marketing team. This is a key role focused on delivering high-quality, data-led insights that help shape business strategy and drive informed decision-making. You’ll play a central role in creating an ‘outside-in’ view of the firm, providing clear, objective intelligence on competitors, client behaviours and market dynamics. Working closely with colleagues across Product, Distribution, Investment and Strategy, you’ll help build a trusted centre of excellence for insight and analytics across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating and disseminating clear, insightful views of products, capabilities and market positioning across the business.
  • Partnering with Product, Distribution and Strategy teams to support key decisions with data-led insight.
  • Delivering market intelligence on competitors, client behaviour and industry trends to support growth and defend market position.
  • Supporting sales and client teams with high-quality, tailored insight for strategic and tactical opportunities.
  • Building and enhancing data capabilities, including improving data governance, integrity and accessibility.
  • Developing user-friendly tools and self-serve data solutions to enable wider access to insights.
  • Contributing to capability reviews, benchmarking and strategic evaluations to inform business priorities.
  • Supporting senior leadership with regular reporting, analysis and insight to shape strategic direction.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience in business intelligence, consulting, product strategy or a similar analytical role within asset management or a related industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of market and data tools such as Morningstar, Broadridge, Preqin, PitchBook or Bloomberg, with deep expertise in at least several.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with the ability to present insights clearly and effectively.
  • Experience using data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Applicants holding, or working towards, a relevant qualification such as IMC, CFA or CAIA.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders across different functions and seniority levels.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities, risks and the ‘so what’ behind the data.

Benefits:

  • The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes.
  • Life assurance.
  • Healthcare Plan (permanent employees only).
  • At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday.
  • Competitive family leave.
  • Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice (permanent employees only).
  • There are many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online.
  • We’re creating net‑zero carbon workplaces by 2030 by investing in our sustainable, modern offices across the UK, all designed to bring people together and elevate the in‑person experience.

Additional Information: At L&G, we believe it's possible to generate positive returns today while helping to build a better future for all. If you join us, you’ll be part of a welcoming, inclusive culture, with opportunities to collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds, views, and experiences. Guided by leaders with integrity who care about your future and wellbeing. Empowered through initiatives which support people to develop their careers and excel. We care passionately about outcomes rather than attendance and are therefore open to discussing all kinds of flexible working options including part-time, term-time and job shares. Although some roles have limited flexibility due to customer demand, we accommodate requests when we can. It doesn’t matter if you don’t meet every single criterion in this advert.
