We are currently hiring for positions across multiple London and Greater London depots, including Alperton, Brentford, Cricklewood, Edgware, Greenford, Harrow Weald, Hayes, Holloway, Lampton, Perivale, Potters Bar, Uxbridge, West Perivale, Willesden, and Willesden Junction.

What You’ll Earn

  • Trainees (during training): £13.85 per hour
  • Post-training (Year 1): From £15.56 per hour (Mon–Fri basic), rising to £19.89 per hour (weekend/overtime)
  • After 3 Years’ Service: Up to £19.29 per hour basic, and £22.83 per hour on weekends and overtime
  • Experienced PCV Licence Holders: Starting from £18.60 to £19.29 per hour, depending on experience

What We’re Looking For

  • A full UK driving licence with at least 12 months’ driving experience
  • A valid PCV licence and DQC, or willingness to train (fully funded by us)
  • The legal right to work in the UK (minimum 13 months remaining)
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and split shifts
  • A passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Applicants with up to 6 penalty points may be considered on an individual basis.

Metroline is one of London’s largest and most trusted bus operators, employing over 4,450 people, with 3,608 bus drivers and a team of over 194 engineers. We operate a fleet of over 1,400 buses across more than 100 routes for London Buses, carrying over 1 million people every day.

Our fleet includes:

  • 700 hybrid buses with the highest environmental credentials available
  • 200 all-electric buses
  • 20 hydrogen buses (the first in England), operating since 2021
  • Metroline was also the first operator in London to run an entire route with New Routemaster buses, of which we have 151 in our fleet.

Since March 2000, Metroline has been a wholly owned subsidiary of ComfortDelGro, a Singapore-based company that is one of the world’s largest passenger land transport operators. As part of the ComfortDelGro Group, our main focus is to become the best London bus company in the capital, providing safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly services for passengers.

Metroline operates 12 garages across London, some of which are over 100 years old, including Cricklewood (Head Office), Edgware, Willesden, Willesden Junction, Holloway, Harrow Weald, Brentford, Uxbridge, Lampton, Greenford, Potters Bar, Perivale, and more.

Additionally, we have a state-of-the-art engineering facility in West Perivale, known as the Central Engineering and Logistics Facility (CELF), where we maintain our modern fleet to the highest standards.
