WombWise is hiring a Health Data Scientist (Machine Learning) to own and improve the algorithms at the heart of our product
WombWise is a clinical intelligence platform for gynaecological health. Women with endometriosis and PMOS often wait years for a diagnosis. We turn passive wearable data into objective digital biomarkers, giving them proof that their pain is real. WombWise is a Class I medical device, and our free pilot opens in January 2027.
The role
Our algorithms already exist and work on a prototype. You'll be their single internal owner: scaling them into a robust multi-user pipeline, designing evaluation, testing every claim against the evidence, and improving the models as pilot data comes in. You'll work directly with the founder and alongside our app development team.
What you'll bring
- Professional experience in data science or ML, with models taken into real use
- Strong statistics, especially time-series, longitudinal and within-person modelling
- Experience with wearable, sensor or physiological data
- Fluent Python and a rigorous approach to evaluation
Experience in women's health, medical devices (IEC 62304, ISO 14971) or clinical studies is a bonus.
The details
- Fully remote (UK), 2 days a week
- 6-month contract, with the aim of becoming permanent after our next funding round
