In this busy and varied role, you will be involved in a broad range of tasks, from booking internal employees\’ travel, to dealing with any complaints or issues that may arise when employees are travelling on business. Sitting within Womble Bond Dickinson\’s finance department, you will report to the Travel Supervisor whilst working alongside our small travel team who manage all travel requirements for the firm.

The role will involve looking after employees\’ travel needs from first enquiry to the completion of travel. You will be dealing with a range of bookings from hotel reservations, to rail and flights. In the role, you will be required to determine our employees\’ travel needs and advise them as appropriate on destinations, modes of transportations, travel dates, costs, and accommodations, helping build complex and personalised travel itineraries.

Your days will be spent supporting the wider team, managing our inbox, dealing with invoices and queries, and liaising with internal stakeholders. Find out more about our Responsible Business initiatives here, including our net zero goals, local community engagement, and social inclusion.

To be successful in the role, you must have customer service experience in a fast-paced corporate environment and ideally have experience in booking travel. Previous experience of working within corporate travel, or experience with fare systems in particular, is desirable. Equally as important are the skills you will bring to the role; strong IT skills are a must, along with a meticulous and detailed approach. In keeping with our culture, you\’ll need to be supportive to colleagues and demonstrate a flexible and helpful attitude.

In addition, you\’ll be professional and pragmatic with a naturally inquisitive nature. We\’re looking for a problem-solver who uses common sense to reach a satisfactory conclusion. To be successful in the role, you will need as a minimum:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Packages, such as Outlook & Excel.
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, admin-based or customer service role. Experience in travel booking is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience managing your own workload.

As signatories to the Mindful Business Charter, it\’s essential to us that our people are able to maintain healthy and happy lives, both in and out of work.

We have a number of resources and initiatives designed to support health and wellbeing, and we\’re very happy to talk flexible working. Through our DEI initiatives, we create an environment in which difference is valued. We have a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Group, led by our Board Sponsor, which works with our colleague networks.

We encourage applicants from all social backgrounds, ethnicities, disabilities, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Alongside a competitive salary, you\’ll receive a flexible benefits package so you can choose and vary the benefits that matter most to you.
