Our Residential Housebuilding team is one of the largest of its kind. Working with many major housebuilders, residential developers and housing clients, our work is diverse and always of the highest quality. We support our clients in a range of projects from major urban mixed-use developments to green field new settlements, and our expertise in the sector, coupled with our approach to client service means that we are rated as the premier team in Newcastle by both clients and the legal directories.
This role will see you working with our national housebuilder clients. In this varied role you will get to work on a broad range of client matters, linked and related to the sale and acquisition of residential property throughout England and Wales. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, handling complex files primarily for part exchange sales and purchases and secondarily for plot sales.
You will deal with all aspects of the part exchange purchase process, including:
- Title and lease reviews
- Reviewing and reporting on title and pre-contract searches
- Drafting deeds of covenants, notice of transfer and more
Administrating all the documentation which may be required as part of the transaction, including dealing with the sale of the part exchange properties, along with all aspects of the plot sales process, including replying to enquiries, exchange and completions and post completion formalities.
We are looking for candidates who ideally have:
- At least 5 years' experience of dealing with residential conveyancing
- Experience of dealing with complex conveyancing issues
- Demonstrable experience of working to tight deadlines
- Strong IT skills and experience of case management systems
