Overview
In this role you will advance the Private Wealth Disputes practice by handling high-value litigation for individuals, families and trustees. You’ll work within a multi-disciplinary team across UK offices to deliver seamless advice and develop trusted client relationships. The role offers scope to grow your own practice while supporting established clients, with a North-based focus for relocation from the North East or Yorkshire. Responsibilities
- Handle high-value private client disputes, including will validity, removal of executors and trustees, and trust-related conflicts
- Advise on succession, trust, and probate disputes, including proprietary estoppel and TLATA claims
- Support trustee decision-making processes and beneficiary disputes
- Participate in business development and networking events to expand client base
- Mentor and supervise junior fee earners where possible
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver integrated client solutions
Key requirements
- 3+ years post-admission experience
- Track record in high-value private client litigation (wills, executors, trustees, financial provision)
- Experience in business development and networking
- Your own network of professional contacts
- Experience supervising/mentoring junior fee earners (advantageous)
- ACTAPS qualified or working towards ACTAPS; member of ConTrA and/or STEP (ideally)
