As our Head of Marketing you will be part of the leadership team within the Marketing & Business Development Group. Reporting to the CMO, you will position the firm to win increasingly high quality work, setting and executing our annual marketing plan to help the firm deliver its strategy and achieve its objectives domestically and internationally.
You’ll be responsible for the efforts of four teams, ensuring the quality, consistency and effectiveness of their work:
- The Data, Content & Insights team, who collate, manage and use the M&BD group's data, content and insights to inform our go to market activities and client service best practice.
- The Brand & Marketing Operations team, who manage the firm's brand identity and ensure the effective delivery of marketing operations to the firm and M&BD Group.
- The Corporate Communications team, who raise our profile and ensure that our positioning is communicated consistently across all internal and external communication channels.
- The Marketing Planning & Campaigns team, who plan and run effective marketing activities and campaigns to win work and build our brand.
What will you actually be doing?
Working with and through the four teams described above, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking qualitative and quantitative market research, including our annual brand tracking, to inform our annual marketing plan, objectives and campaign briefs.
- Ensuring that our positioning and identity is communicated consistently through distinctive messaging internally and externally. This will include working closely with colleagues in the US marketing team to ensure consistency globally.
- Preparing our annual marketing plan, to include key objectives for the year, headline campaigns, thought leadership and projects, and the budget required to deliver the plan.
- Working with Sector Leaders and Practice Leaders to produce sector and practice marketing plans that identify who we’re targeting, objectives, key opportunities, core messages and the right marketing communications channels.
- Leading our flagship campaigns for the areas identified by you and the Board, from scoping, objective setting, agency briefing and tactical delivery.
- Working with colleagues in the US M&BD team, plus strategic alliance firms, to bring an increasingly international outlook to our marketing efforts and identify opportunities to win more cross-border work.
- Setting objectives and KPIs for marketing campaigns and plans, reporting on results and managing budgets throughout the year.
- Collaborating with the New Business Development team to ensure that relevant clients, prospects and targets are included in campaigns, and that Client Partners understand the opportunities that are prioritised in our sector and practice marketing plans.
- Managing our external PR strategy, including proactive communications for sectors, teams and offices, reactive press enquiries and crisis management.
- Developing our website to ensure that it reflects our positioning and meets the needs of clients and prospects at each point of the finding and choosing stages of the client journey.
- Creating and maintaining marketing materials and sales collateral, ensuring they’re in line with our positioning, tone of voice and visual identity.
