Job Description:
We\’re currently looking for a talented and motivated Finance Coordinator to join our Finance Compliance team in Newcastle. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home two days a week.
The team
Central to our success are our talented lawyers, supported by our Finance team, which plays an essential role in growing the business and maintaining our financial performance. Our Compliance team ensures our lawyers adhere to the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
The role
Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records of client funds to ensure they are earmarked and protected, complying with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) regulations and audit requirements. You will learn and adhere to the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and all relevant financial policies. Daily reporting and communication with fee earners and partners, managing internal queries, and assisting with administrative tasks such as monitoring spreadsheets are also key duties. You will collaborate closely with other departments like Accounts Payable and Treasury, adopting a \’one team\’ approach.
What are we looking for?
We seek a meticulous individual with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a methodical approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with a willingness to learn, is essential. Prior experience in a finance team is not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
Minimum requirements include:
- Good academic background from school or other studies.
- Some experience in an office or administrative role is preferred.
- Strong IT skills, especially in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
