Our Real Estate teams are growing, fast. With a national presence of over 200 lawyers across 8 UK locations we're a force to be reckoned with. It's the quality of our service, our industry insight and the talent and passion of our people that engages our clients. Our Southampton real estate team is extremely busy with a wide range of work. You will have the opportunity to work with funds, asset managers, property companies and public bodies investing in and developing UK real estate, handling high-value transactions and joining a motivated and collaborative team which deals with the whole lifecycle of asset management and development work.
What will you be doing? You'll contribute to the growth and success of the business by leading and supporting on excellent quality investment and development work, taking a proactive role in helping build and maintain client relationships. You'll also be helping us to further develop our market share and brand awareness, running transactions from the outset and supervising and mentoring others in the team to deliver those transactions for our clients. As a key member of the team you'll be involved in business development activities, contribute to an aspirational growth strategy for the team and supervise more junior members of the team.
What does the ideal candidate look like? You’ll be an experienced technically proficient real estate lawyer with at least 3 years' post qualification experience who's had extensive exposure to quality real estate investment work and who can add value through first class technical and commercial advice hand in hand with business and sector insight. You’ll have rounded knowledge of running investment transactions and client handling skills along with proven experience of asset management transactions and dealing with landlord and tenant issues. You’ll also have strong internal and external networking skills and ideally have experience of supervising the work of others and enjoy devoting time to share your expertise through coaching and mentoring.
To be successful in this role as a minimum you will have:
- At least 3 years of post-qualified experience as an England & Wales Solicitor.
- Skilled in managing real estate investment acquisitions and disposals.
- Proven investment transaction experience.
- Experience of working with real estate investors (whether funds, property companies, charities or private clients) and managing landlord & tenant issues.
