Our Residential team is one of the largest of its kind and they have an exciting opportunity for a senior lawyer to join their team in Plymouth.

We support our clients in a range of projects from PLC and regional housebuilders, mixed-use developers and investors, local authorities, registered providers through to buy to rent affordable housing and regeneration.

Our expertise in the sector, coupled with our approach to client service means that we are rated as the premier housing team in the UK by both clients and the legal directories.

What will you be doing?You'll contribute to the growth and success of the business by developing the reputation/brand of the firm, taking a proactive role in building and maintaining client relationships, and leading and supporting on excellent quality development work.

You'll play an important role in helping us to further develop our market share and brand awareness, running transactions in their entirety from the outset and supervising and mentoring others in the team to deliver those transactions for our clients.

As a key member of the team you'll be involved in business development activities, influence and implement an aspirational growth strategy for the team and support others to develop in this area.

What does the ideal candidate look like?You'll be an experienced technically proficient real estate lawyer with at least 6 years' post qualification experience who's had extensive exposure to quality real estate development work who can add value through first class technical, commercial advice and delivering business and sector insight.

You'll have rounded knowledge of acquisition and development work for residential development purposes.

You'll also have strong internal and external networking skills and use these effectively to generate and manage work in your own right.

You'll also, ideally, have experience of supervising the technical work of others and enjoy devoting dedicated time to share your expertise through coaching and mentoring.

To be successful in this role you'll need as a minimum: At least 6 years of post-qualified experience as an England & Wales Solicitor.
