We have an exciting opportunity for a Bids Executive to join us. This role can be based in either Bristol, Leeds or Newcastle. We operate a hybrid working policy and most full-time employees typically spend around 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, however we operate a very flexible approach in practice.

The Department

Our Business Development team is firmly embedded within the business and works closely with our partners offering real expertise in winning new business and delivering an excellent client experience. Our success comes from really understanding our clients, their business and sectors and working in strategic partnership with them. But that’s not enough. We know that to secure new business and further growth, we have to really differentiate ourselves in a crowded market - our Business Development team is a crucial part of this strategy.

The Team

The Bids team project manages the delivery of our bid and proposal process, and co-ordinates strategically significant firm-wide pitches and panel reviews. The team assists with new opportunities to help expand our presence in core sectors and enhance our key client relationships. The team continuously develops and improves the model for best practice in new business bids to maximise the return on time and investment in this area.

The Role

The successful candidates will work closely with the entire Bids team to deliver the bid process from initiation to implementation and post-process debrief/follow up. You’ll work as part of a tightly-knit team to develop and deliver compelling and high-quality responses to new business opportunities, ensuring that the firm submits pitches of the highest quality, and that success rates – and the firm’s return on investment – are maximised. You will be working with colleagues across the firm in multiple locations and different roles to bring together the different elements of the pitch, so day-to-day you will be building relationships and providing clear guidance on the bid process.

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines.
  • Passionate and have a flair for writing.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
  • The ability to work well within a team.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience of working in a business development/marketing/procurement role would be beneficial.
