We are seeking a talented individual to join our nationally recognised Real Estate Energy and Natural Resources team who have an impressive client base across the globe, ranging from entrepreneurial new entrants and joint ventures to established independents, vertically integrated utilities, financial institutions, governments and world-wide energy giants. With a national presence of over 150 fee earners across 8 locations our wider Real Estate team are a force to be reckoned with. This is a property role with an energy focus. You may work with an energy company on land options for wind, solar, battery storage or hydrogen developments as well as office relocation or development of an operation and maintenance facility. You'll handle a wide range of property work from development projects, acquisitions and disposals to landlord and tenant, asset management and portfolio management instructions for national and international energy clients. Our team acts on all real estate elements of major energy infrastructure developments, offering you the chance to engage in project development work for new generation projects in relation to both renewable energy transactions and mainstream power and pipeline projects. Transactions are often high value and offer an excellent opportunity to be involved in high profile quality work. Our Real Estate team has a deserved reputation for providing first-class legal advice, acting as trusted advisors to many of the key players across the sector. A number of our talented lawyers are listed as leaders in their field. Working with the wider Real Estate team across the country there will be plenty of opportunity for client contact and you'll be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with these contacts.
We welcome applications from enthusiastic real estate lawyers who've had exposure to quality real estate work ideally from a large regional or city firm. While energy experience is preferred anyone with an interest in this specialist area would be considered - what's most important is that you have a genuine enthusiasm in this specialism. You will be a lawyer who is excited at the prospect of working in a busy and supportive environment. Excellent drafting skills, a sense of commercial pragmatism, a bright mind and a strong team ethos to help further develop the team's client base is important for this role. Business development is important for all of our lawyers, and you will be able to contribute to the growth of the team by assisting with the organisation of client events, writing articles for our website and other marketing activities.
To be successful in this role you'll need as a minimum:
- A legal qualification with 5+ year's post admission experience.
- Experience gained from working in a Real Estate legal team.
- Experience of development transactions and projects, either in the energy sector or more widely.
