Responsibilities

  • Guest Relations: Act as primary point of contact for guests, answer questions, handle complaints in an empathic and solution-oriented way, help with any issues that arise during the stay.
  • Guest Check-In & Check-Out: Manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash and cash-ups with diligence.
  • External Liaison: Act as the initial point of contact for our partners/suppliers etc.
  • Enforcement of Rules: Ensure adherence to house rules, addressing issues proactively.
  • Complaint Management: Respond promptly and effectively to complaints, turning challenging situations into positive outcomes whenever possible.
  • Administration: Take care of administrative tasks that are part of reception workflows.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality Mindset: A genuine passion for service and hosting, with the enthusiasm to go above and beyond to make guests feel in good hands.
  • Language Skills: High proficiency in English, local language skills are preferable.
  • Social & Communication Skills: Ability to engage with guests empathetically and openly to make them feel welcome while dealing with their requests in a professional manner.
  • Responsibility & Initiative: Taking ownership of guest interactions and addressing issues proactively, being able to solve problems and make decisions independently if necessary.
  • Teamwork: Supporting colleagues from all departments by having each other’s backs, helping each other out and consulting with colleagues to solve issues together.
  • Resilience: Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong prioritization and time management abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with office software and property management systems.
  • Flexibility & Openness: Ability to adapt to new and unexpected situations quickly; openness to other cultures and points of view.
