Our client is seeking a Waste Coordinator to join their Facilities Management Operations in Teesside on a full-time permanent basis working 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday (with some flexibility for business needs). This is a key role responsible for ensuring effective waste management, compliance, and scheduling, with a 50/50 split between hands-on waste management and administrative coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with the Facilities Team Leader and HSE Manager, attending monthly waste meetings and liaising with the wider EHS team. Key responsibilities: Daily waste management coordination, including monitoring waste services, compliance, and audits Ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and waste disposal protocols Planning and scheduling waste flows in alignment with service level agreements Engaging with contractors, field teams, and key stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient waste operations Monitoring chemical waste transport and uplift procedures Attending and contributing to monthly waste meetings with the EHS team Utilising CMMS and Microsoft Office tools to track and manage waste processes Conducting drum park reviews and site inspections to ensure compliance Requirements: WAMITAB Segregation Certificate (essential) ADR (Dangerous Goods) Certificate (essential) Strong knowledge of waste management compliance, scheduling, and audit requirements Experience with CMMS systems, Helpdesk platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent organisation, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and adapt to changing business needs This role is fully site-based.
