Working Pattern

4 on / 4 off - 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)

About the Role

Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a leading steel manufacturer in the search for a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join their Engineering Team.

This is a key role within a high-performing department where you'll support the delivery of essential maintenance activities across a highly automated and heavy industrial facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance across a wide range of electrical systems
  • Support production through timely response to equipment faults and breakdowns
  • Contribute to inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance strategies
  • Operate in line with site safety protocols and statutory compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with Day Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure maintenance excellence
  • Maintain accurate records using modern computerised maintenance systems (e. g. SAP)
  • Lead a team of 6 technicians

What We're Looking For

  • A recognised apprenticeship and qualifications in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum HNC Qualified
  • Proven experience in a heavy industrial setting, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • A strong understanding of fault finding, breakdown recovery and preventative maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills, a team mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to work shifts and respond to the changing needs of the operation

Certificate evidence will be required at interview.
