The Opportunity
Wolviston Management Services are proud to support a leading industrial services provider with the recruitment of an experienced Conveyor Belt Vulcaniser. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to join a safety-focused, forward-thinking organisation delivering critical conveyor maintenance and installation services across heavy industrial environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of conveyor systems that are fundamental to production and logistics operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out hot and cold vulcanising of conveyor belts in line with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Completing belt installations, repairs, splicing, and replacements across a range of conveyor systems
- Diagnosing belt faults and wear issues, providing practical repair solutions
- Working from engineering drawings, splice layouts, and technical instructions
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Adhering strictly to site HSEQ procedures, risk assessments, and method statements
- Liaising with site teams, supervisors, and clients to coordinate works and minimise downtime
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and materials in a safe and serviceable condition
- Supporting shutdowns, breakdowns, and planned maintenance activities, including out-of-hours work where required
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Conveyor Belt Vulcaniser within heavy industry, quarrying, mining, steel, ports, or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of rubber conveyor systems, belt construction, and splice techniques
- Competent in hot vulcanising using presses and associated equipment
- A strong understanding of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work
- Ability to work independently on site and as part of a wider maintenance team
- Flexible approach to working hours, including travel and site shutdowns
- Full UK driving licence preferred
