We are recruiting a Site Security Officer (SSO) to support day-to-day operations at our clients site in Hartlepool. This is a temporary, Monday-to-Friday daytime role, suited to individuals with both security and emergency preparedness training. The successful candidate will assist with alarm system monitoring, incident response, and the management of site access, CCTV, and reception functions. The position also contributes to on-site emergency readiness, including first aid delivery and the support of incident coordination with external agencies. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage alarm systems in line with site protocols Respond to site security incidents and liaise with key agencies as required Deliver basic first aid as needed Control secure access to site, including card key management and inductions Assist in the operation of CCTV, switchboard, and mail distribution services Maintain personal training and competency records in line with National Occupational Standards Support team compliance in specialist site requirements (e.g. rescue equipment, first aid) Training & Certifications: SIA Licence Confined Space Certification Rescue from Height Certification Fire & Breathing Apparatus (BA) FREC Level 3 (First Response Emergency Care) Candidate Requirements Experience in security operations within industrial, commercial, or high-risk sites Knowledge of alarm system response, CCTV protocols, and access control Comfortable with compliance, documentation, and safety procedures Able to work independently and as part of a team in a high-stakes environment If this role is of interest apply today
