Wolviston Management Services are supporting the recruitment of a Multi-Skilled CNC Turner on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to join a growing manufacturing environment, contributing to high-quality production output and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in machining operations, ensuring components are produced efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set, operate, and adjust CNC turning machines, specifically Victor CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
- Interpret engineering drawings and CNC programmes to manufacture precision components
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary tool offsets and adjustments
- Carry out in-process quality inspection, ensuring components meet specification
- Perform manual deburring and fettling of finished parts
- Identify and troubleshoot machining or production issues efficiently
- Utilise internal systems to check materials, routing, and production requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace in line with 5S manufacturing principles
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines
- Ensure accurate completion of production and quality documentation
- Adhere strictly to health & safety standards and procedures
- Relevant engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a CNC turning role
- Proven experience setting and operating CNC machines
- Experience with Fanuc control systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Flexible to work required shift patterns
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience within a similar manufacturing or engineering sector
- Ability to operate CNC milling machines
