An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to join a well-established, independent engineering company with additional fabrication capabilities. Our client is seeking a driven and commercially focused individual to play a key role in expanding their customer base and developing new business opportunities across targeted industry sectors. This position would suit a proactive sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering growth within a technical engineering environment. A strong understanding of machining and fabrication processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with both existing and prospective clients across the UK market
  • Conduct regular sales visits and customer meetings to identify new business opportunities
  • Negotiate and secure new contracts while maintaining awareness of market trends and conditions
  • Produce weekly sales activity reports, along with monthly and quarterly order forecasts
  • Maintain accurate customer and pipeline data within CRM systems
  • Identify high-value opportunities within the existing client base to maximise profitability and retention
  • Support the development of long-term customer partnerships through regular engagement and review meetings
  • Research and target new markets, sectors, and clients to drive business growth

About You:

  • Proven experience in a similar sales or business development role within engineering or manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of machining and fabrication processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Commercially aware with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, with a results-driven mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Engineering background is essential
