About the Role

This is a proactive, customer-focused position where you will identify new opportunities, reconnect with dormant customers, follow up quotations and sample requests, and help ensure that every customer interaction adds value to their journey. Working closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing and Customer Service, you will contribute to driving enquiry conversion, strengthening customer relationships and supporting business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing trade customers, identifying opportunities to increase engagement and sales.
  • Reconnect with inactive trade accounts, encouraging renewed business activity and strengthening customer loyalty.
  • Support the development of new trade account opportunities generated through lead-generation activities.
  • Generate quality sales opportunities and appointments for the wider sales team.
  • Follow up consumer quotations, gaining insight into customer requirements and helping progress opportunities towards a successful outcome.
  • Engage with customers who have requested product samples, understanding their project needs and guiding them towards quotation or purchase.
  • Ensure all enquiries receive timely, professional and customer-focused follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information, activity records and opportunity pipelines within the CRM system.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across Sales, Marketing and Customer Service to maximise customer satisfaction and conversion rates.
  • Support promotional campaigns, product launches and industry events as required.
  • Produce regular updates on activity levels, opportunities generated and pipeline development.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys building relationships, engaging with customers and delivering results.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in outbound sales, telesales, customer service or account management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
  • A professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain effective follow-up activity.
  • Experience within the KBB, interiors or home improvement sector would be advantageous, although not essential.
