Port Operative Wolviston Management Services are delighted to be supporting our client, a leading port operator, in the search for experienced and motivated Port Operatives to join their high-performing team in a busy, fast-paced operational environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of goods and materials, working as part of a close-knit team to keep the port’s operations running smoothly. The Role As a Port Operative, you’ll undertake a wide range of manual and operational tasks across the site, ensuring all work is carried out in line with strict safety and compliance requirements. You will be physically active throughout your shift, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and using your skills to support the loading, unloading, and movement of cargo. Key Responsibilities Assist with the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of cargo, goods, and materials across the port Operate plant and equipment in line with training and competency levels (where applicable) Undertake manual handling tasks and physically demanding duties in varied weather conditions Work in line with all health, safety, and environmental standards, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow Maintain work areas, equipment, and tools to a high standard of cleanliness and readiness About You To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be safety-conscious, physically fit, and able to work effectively in a dynamic, outdoor operational environment.
