An established manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Press Setter to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with experience setting and operating press machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently achieved.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient setup, operation and optimisation of press machinery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting and operating mechanical and/or hydraulic press machinery.
  • Installing and changing tooling as required.
  • Adjusting machine settings to optimise production output and quality.
  • Completing first-off inspections and routine quality checks.
  • Troubleshooting production and tooling issues.
  • Ensuring machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Working to production schedules and deadlines.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing process.
  • Maintaining accurate production and quality records.
  • Adhering to all health, safety and quality procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Press Setter role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of press operations, tooling and production processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience carrying out tool changes and machine adjustments.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Experience
