A leading specialist contractor within the building envelope sector is seeking an experienced Facade Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused estimator with experience pricing complex façade packages and a strong understanding of modern construction methods, external wall systems and regulatory requirements.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for façade and building envelope projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
  • Producing detailed take-offs and cost plans.
  • Pricing façade, rainscreen cladding and associated building envelope packages.
  • Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities.
  • Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and internal teams throughout the tender process.
  • Supporting project handover following successful tender award.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within façade, cladding, curtain walling or building envelope estimating.
  • Strong technical understanding of external wall constructions and façade systems.
  • Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of cavity barriers, fire barriers, fire stopping and façade compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of complete wall build-ups, including insulation, support systems, membranes and fire protection components.
  • Commercially aware with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience managing multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.

This role requires someone who understands the full façade package, not simply flashings, fabrications or standalone metalwork elements. The successful candidate will be comfortable reviewing building designs, understanding how external wall systems are constructed, and accurately pricing all associated components and interfaces.
