Wolviston Management Services is working in partnership with a leading chemical manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner. This is a part-time opportunity, offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, to provide secondment cover at their site based in Billingham. This is a standalone, site-based role, ideal for an experienced and proactive HR professional who thrives in a hands-on environment.
You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, generalist HR service, working closely with the local senior management team and supporting the site’s operational and strategic people priorities.
Key responsibilities:- Delivering a comprehensive generalist HR and L&D service
- Leading employee relations and engagement, including union negotiation
- Developing and implementing site-specific HR strategies
- Managing talent development, succession planning, and performance management processes
- Working autonomously while liaising with the wider HR team
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- CIPD Level 7 qualified
- Solid HR generalist experience at a senior level
- Strong experience in employee relations and stakeholder engagement
- Background in manufacturing, chemical, or heavy industry preferred
- Immediate availability advantageous
