About the Role: We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis in Stockton-on-Tees. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive and friendly team, with flexibility to work full-time hours, over four or five days per week. The firm offers a fantastic benefits package, a flexible working scheme, and a positive work-life balance.    As a Finance Assistant, you will be involved in a wide range of finance and administration tasks, contributing to the smooth running of the department.    Key Responsibilities: Processing day-to-day client transactions Posting client and office bank statements Raising work-in-progress (WIP) and disbursement bills Providing finance support to all legal departments Checking and processing completion packs Handling client-related reconciliations Conducting audit and general control reviews Archiving and general administrative duties Ensuring compliance with Solicitor Accounting Rules    What We’re Looking For: Experience in a financial role (Legal Cashier experience is desirable but not essential) Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Excel A keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail Willingness to travel occasionally to the Newcastle office (as required)    Why Join?
