Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a long-established industry leader in the search for a highly motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering Department in Middlesbrough. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced individual to take the next step in their engineering career, working within a well-structured and safety-focused environment.

You’ll be responsible for leading and supporting electrical maintenance activities, with a key focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence within your area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the Electrical Craft Team Leader and Team Members to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations.
  • Drive improvements through performance analysis, root cause investigations and preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Manage planned maintenance schedules and unplanned fault response, with a proactive approach to reliability and asset care.
  • Conduct and encourage regular safety conversations and task reviews, continuously striving for a zero-harm culture.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and optimised working methods across electrical systems and installations.
  • Take accountability for the development, competence and succession planning of your team.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with statutory legislation, internal standards and safe systems of work.
About You
  • HNC qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or a time-served craftsperson with relevant qualifications and supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrable background in leading engineering teams, with a passion for developing people and systems.
  • Solid understanding of maintenance planning systems (SAP knowledge advantageous).
  • Knowledge of DC systems, drives, gantry cranes and LOLER regulations preferred.
  • Experience of working in a heavy industrial or process-driven environment.
  • Skilled in defect elimination, root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques.
