Electrical Craft Team Member

Location: Teesside

Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a major client in the recruitment of an experienced Electrical Craftsperson to join their established Engineering team at a large-scale, heavy industrial facility in Teesside.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Craft Team Member to work in a highly automated and mechanically advanced environment. You'll be responsible for delivering safe, efficient electrical maintenance across a range of plant and machinery - ensuring asset reliability and operational effectiveness.

Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll report directly to the Shift Engineering Team Leader and support both proactive maintenance activities and reactive response to breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine and reactive electrical maintenance tasks to support operational uptime.
  • Assist with breakdown recovery, inspections, and repair works.
  • Ensure compliance with all site safety requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Day Engineering and Manufacturing teams to deliver planned maintenance programmes.
  • Use modern maintenance systems and digital tools (e.g., SAP) to log and track tasks.

What We're Looking For

  • A recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (essential).
  • Relevant qualifications - City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC, or NVQ Level 3 (certificate evidence required).
  • Strong hands-on experience in heavy industrial electrical systems and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with permit systems, isolation procedures, and safety legislation.
  • A team-oriented approach, with flexibility and strong communication skills.
  • Good timekeeping and a proactive attitude to work.
