Our client is a leading provider of Building Management System (BMS) solutions and is looking to appoint an experienced BMS Support Engineer to join their established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working closely with customers to ensure critical building systems operate efficiently and effectively.
The Role
As a BMS Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of customer sites across the region, carrying out planned maintenance, reactive support and system improvements. Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on BMS installations
- Diagnosing and resolving faults across a variety of BMS platforms
- Undertaking repairs, upgrades and remedial works
- Responding to reactive service calls and technical issues
- Producing accurate service reports and technical documentation
- Providing customers with technical support and recommendations
- Ensuring systems operate efficiently and in line with customer requirements
- Participating in an out-of-hours support rota when required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working within the Building Controls or Building Management Systems sector and be comfortable working independently on customer sites. Experience with one or more of the following technologies would be advantageous:
- Trend
- IQVision
- Tridium / Niagara
- Schneider EcoStruxure
- Siemens
You will also possess:
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- A good understanding of HVAC systems and associated plant
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- A proactive and organised approach to work
- A full UK driving licence
