Our client is a well-established and growing Building Management Systems specialist, delivering projects across a broad range of commercial and industrial environments throughout the UK.
They're now looking to appoint an experienced Applications Engineer to support the delivery of BMS projects across design, software, commissioning and small works.
The Role
This is a varied position where you'll play a key role in the design, engineering and delivery of Building Management System solutions across customer sites.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and commissioning Building Management Systems
- Developing BMS software and graphics from mechanical and system designs
- Supporting the delivery of small works and projects from an engineering perspective
- Carrying out site surveys to support quotations, system design and project delivery
- Assisting with project planning, programme management and financial control
- Liaising with internal teams to coordinate labour, materials and resources
- Supervising subcontractors where required
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
- Providing technical support, diagnostics and maintenance assistance when required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a BMS Applications Engineer / Project Engineer / Commissioning Engineer role
- Strong experience commissioning Building Management Systems
- Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualification
- Strong knowledge of Trend, IQ Vision, Siemens and Tridium systems
- Experience developing BMS software and graphics
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS, ECS or JIB registration, ideally with an ECS BMS Technician card
- Ability to provide telephone and on-site technical / breakdown support when required
Desirable Experience
- BACnet, SIPP and Modbus experience
- Knowledge of Trend current and legacy products
- Experience with Cylon systems
- Exposure to a range of major BMS platforms
