Improve SAP, maintenance data and engineering systems at a major UK manufacturing site. We are recruiting for an experienced SAP Engineering Analyst to join a major chemical/process manufacturing site in Hartlepool. The plant is entering an exciting new stage, with renewed focus on engineering systems, maintenance performance, asset data, reporting and operational improvement.
This is a key role where you will support and improve SAP PM, Enterprise Asset Management processes, maintenance data, Factory Information Systems and intelligent reporting tools across a complex manufacturing environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Act as Business Process Owner for SAP PM and Enterprise Asset Management systems.
- Support manufacturing, engineering and maintenance users with SAP PM and related systems.
- Improve maintenance, reliability and transactional efficiency through better data and processes.
- Develop and enhance SAP Planned Maintenance module functionality.
- Support common working practices for master data management.
- Manage SAP role allocation, user access and training requirements.
- Create automated reports aligned to business and engineering goals.
- Support performance reporting for site leadership and engineering managers.
- Work with external suppliers on Computer Aided Engineering solutions.
- Support and improve Aveva PI Vision, Factory Information Systems and web-based interfaces.
What we're looking for:
- Experience delivering SAP Plant Maintenance or Enterprise Asset Management solutions.
- HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years industrial experience in asset management, maintenance systems or capital project execution.
- Strong knowledge of SAP PM and maintenance performance metrics, including OEE, MTBF and MTTR.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, PI/FIS and reporting tools.
- Experience developing automated reports, performance dashboards or business intelligence tools.
- The ability to simplify complex issues and deliver practical improvements.
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A coaching approach, with the ability to support and influence system users.
Useful experience:
- Experience in chemical, process, manufacturing or high-hazard industrial environments.
- Supporting a large SAP user community.
- SAP role allocation, access controls or user training.
- Aveva PI Vision, PI/FIS or Factory Information Systems.
- Statutory maintenance, planned maintenance or CAPEX data requirements.
- Computer Aided Engineering systems or external software suppliers.
- Acting as Business Process Owner for SAP, maintenance systems or asset management processes.
- Developing web-based interfaces or operational reporting dashboards.
