Wolviston Management Services are recruiting on behalf of Tioxide Materials Ltd for 22 Shift Process Technicians to join the Manufacturing team at their site in Greatham, Hartlepool.

Opportunities are available across a range of production areas, including Oxidation, Chlorination, Control Room Operations and Plant Operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Training & Competence: Achieve, maintain and demonstrate competence through training, validation and re-validation in the required process technician role berths.

Management: Apply a Zero Harm mindset and Process Safety Management principles to all process activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, responsibly and in accordance with site requirements.

  • Plant Operations: Operate the plant in accordance with operating instructions and procedures to ensure safe, efficient and effective production performance.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to abnormal or emergency situations in accordance with emergency procedures, ensuring the plant is placed into a safe state where required.
  • Process Monitoring & Control: Interpret process data and operational information to determine appropriate actions, keeping the process within normal operating parameters while maximising efficiency and achieving required quality standards.
  • Equipment Reliability: Monitor and maintain equipment, report defects and support scheduled or breakdown maintenance activities within the capability of the available team.
  • Maintenance Preparation: Prepare equipment for maintenance and complete EIP paperwork to enable Work Control Permits to be issued safely and effectively.
  • Continuous

Improvement: Participate in emergency exercises, EHS training and continuous improvement activities, identifying and implementing actions to improve plant performance, reliability and the working environment.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 in Process Operations, or equivalent suitable process industry experience.
  • Experience working in a process, manufacturing, production or industrial operating environment.
  • Ability to follow operating instructions, procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Understanding of EHS requirements and Process Safety Management principles within an operational environment.
  • Ability to interpret process data and take appropriate action to support safe and efficient operation.
  • Ability to identify and report defects and support basic maintenance or maintenance preparation activities.
  • Ability to complete operational and permit-related documentation accurately.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a shift-based production team.
  • Commitment to maintaining competence through training, validation and re-validation.
  • Strong awareness of safe working practices, emergency response requirements and continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience working on an Upper Tier COMAH plant.
  • Experience working in a chemical, petrochemical, process or high-hazard manufacturing environment.
  • Experience preparing equipment for maintenance under permit-to-work systems.
  • Experience participating in emergency exercises or site emergency response activity.
  • Experience supporting scheduled or breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Experience identifying and implementing operational improvement actions.
